Kara Troester

Kara Troester trained at the Academy of Ballet and Theatre Arts in Oklahoma City, and attended several summer programs on scholarship. She joined Kansas City Ballet as a trainee at age 17. During her time there, she performed in Devon Carney’s Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty, George Balanchine’s Theme and Variations, Bruce Well’s Midsummer Night’s Dream, André Prokovsky’s The Three Musketeers, and several contemporary world premieres. Troester joined Oklahoma City Ballet’s Studio Company in 2017, was promoted to Apprentice in 2018, and to the Corps de Ballet for the 2019/20 season. She has performed with the company in Robert Mills’ Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, August Bournonville’s La Sylphide, and George Balanchine’s The Four Temperaments.
